Release information of each version of PlantcircBase
In the sixth version, one new species (Populus trichocarpa) have been added to PlantcircBase, and novel circRNAs have been added to five species (Arabidopsis thaliana, Echinochloa crus-galli, Gossypium hirsutum, Glycine max and Solanum lycopersicum). Totally, 20 organisms were collected and the number of circRNA entries has been increased to 142,115. In this version, we collected plant circRNAs from eight publications (details here) that were published in 2020. Ten literatures (details here) about plant circRNAs were also published, but these were not collected by PlantcircBase becauce of: (a) circRNA information were not provided by authors; (b) the genome of the organism was not well assembled; and so on.
