Release information of each version of PlantcircBase
In the seventh version, one new species (Panax ginseng) have been added to PlantcircBase, and novel circRNAs have been added to six species (Glycine max, Oryza sativa ssp. japonica, Oryza sativa ssp. indica, Populus, Solanum lycopersicum and Zea mays). Totally, 21 organisms were collected and the number of circRNA entries has been increased to 171,118. In this version, we collected plant circRNAs from seven publications (details here) that were published in 2021. Another seven literatures (details here) about plant circRNAs were also published, but these were not collected by PlantcircBase becauce of: (a) circRNA information were not provided by authors; (b) the genome of the organism was not well assembled; and so on.
